Why we exist
Every day the surface world produces more news than any reasonable creature can process. Tuna News HQ takes that firehose, drags it to the bottom of the ocean, and hands it to a fish with a microphone.
The result is not journalism. It is a parody of journalism — the cadence, the urgency, the grave nodding, the breaking-news sting — applied to stories that deserve considerably less gravity than they are given.
What Tunaville is
Tunaville is our beat. It has civic problems, municipal disputes, sporting controversies, and public figures who agree to interviews they probably should not agree to. It has weather. It has traffic, in the sense that a school of fish can absolutely cause traffic.
Nothing that happens in Tunaville is real. Everything that happens in Tunaville is reported with total conviction.
The correspondents
Our two reporters anchor the desk. They conduct the interviews, deliver the dispatches, and maintain the exact facial expression of someone who has just been handed alarming news about kelp.
They do not break character. They have never broken character. We are not entirely sure they can.
What we make
Short-form parody news segments and interviews, published to Facebook and Rumble, with clips and behind-the-scenes material on Instagram. New reports land regularly — the news never stops, and neither does the tide.
